Bot command reference
Every VorteX slash command — what it does, its options, and the permissions it needs.
Before you start
All commands are run inside your Discord server (not in DMs). They are restricted to members with the Manage Server permission, so only admins can wire up the bot.
Type / in any channel and Discord shows you the available commands with their options.
Account commands
These link your server to your subscription and let you check its state.
- /connect code:<code> — Activate your subscription on this server using the claim code from your welcome email. Run this once, first.
- /status — Show your subscription status: the active plan and which feed is wired to which channel.
Feed setup commands
Each feed is pointed at a channel with its own command. Run one per feed you want. You can re-run any of them to move a feed to a different channel.
- /setup-options channel:<#channel> — Post options flow alerts (whale sweeps and unusual activity) to a channel.
- /setup-gap channel:<#channel> — Post pre-market gap alerts to a channel.
- /setup-news channel:<#channel> — Post market news alerts to a channel.
- /setup-covered-calls channel:<#channel> — Post 0-DTE covered-call screener alerts to a channel (Pro plan).
Channel permissions
For any feed channel you choose, the bot needs the Send Messages and Embed Links permissions in that channel — otherwise setup is rejected. If a feed goes quiet, check those two permissions first, then re-run the setup command.
