Level breaks

Pre-market highs and prior-day highs are the levels most traders watch, and the ones easiest to miss. They matter most in the first minutes after the open, which is exactly when you are looking at something else.

Watching them by eye also invites a shortcut: price clears the pre-market high, it looks like a breakout, and the prior day's high is still sitting overhead. The move stalls there.

Two columns on the Volume Rank ticker view, PMH/PDH and PML/PDL, read Yes only when price has cleared BOTH levels on that side — above the pre-market high and the prior-day high, or below both lows. One level alone is never enough.

Prior-day levels include extended hours, so an after-hours spike above the regular-session high still counts as the level to beat.

A Yes latches for the rest of the session. If a ticker breaks out at 9:31 and fades by 10:00, the column still tells you it broke — that happened, and it stays on the record.

Tick Sound alerts, in Preferences or on Volume Rank itself, and a break is announced out loud as it fires. The alert follows you: leave Volume Rank for the screener or your billing page and it still reaches you.

Each break also appears as a dismissible box. Clearing the box acknowledges the alert; the Yes stays in the column.

The Levels button at the top of Volume Rank opens a side panel with the session's breaks — the time each one fired, the level actually cleared and the last price — plus the four levels for every tracked ticker, with the binding one highlighted.

The panel covers the current session. Past days are not stored.
